Stereotyping Beauty. The title “Sleeping Beauty” shows a big picture of stereotyping beauty. In the movie we can see that priority goes for beauty, where the first gift for the little princess Aurora, from the good fairies, is the “beauty rare”. The beauty gifted to the princess was described by having golden hair as sunshine and red.
Sleeping Beauty is a story about a girl who was stabbed with the spindle and befell the old curse from the evil fairy. She fell asleep for one hundred years, and it could be saved only by the brave prince. Although the story of the evil witch sounds cruel, fairy tales will always be popular in the daily lives of our children. They awaken the imagination, thought-provoking and learn about good.
So twelve fairies came, each with a high red cap on her head, red shoes with high heels on her feet and a long white wand in her hand. After the feast was over they gathered round in a ring and gave all their best gifts to the little princess.
